1. About SkyPie SMS
SkyPie, LLC ("SkyPie", "we", "us", or "our") sends SMS text messages to help users send and receive reservation "slices," receive verification codes, and stay up to date with their account activity. This page describes how users opt in to the SkyPie SMS program, what messages are sent, and how to opt out at any time.
2. Opt-In Workflow Description
Opt-in to the SkyPie SMS program is explicit and is captured during account sign-up. A user can only receive SMS from SkyPie after completing the steps below:
- The user creates a SkyPie account at https://skypie.com/user/sign-up (or in the SkyPie mobile app). During sign-up, the user enters their own mobile phone number into the registration form.
- The user must check the "I agree to the Terms & Conditions" box before the account can be created. The Terms & Conditions (https://skypie.com/terms-and-conditions) include an SMS consent section that explicitly states the user agrees to receive transactional SMS messages from SkyPie at the mobile number provided, and links back to this page for full SMS program details. The checkbox is unchecked by default and the account cannot be created without it.
- SMS-sharing recipients. When an existing SkyPie user shares a slice with another phone number, the sharing user is shown a confirmation screen stating that an SMS will be delivered to the recipient on their behalf containing a link to the shared slice. The recipient's first message includes STOP / HELP instructions.
No mobile numbers are collected, imported, or messaged without one of the opt-in actions above. Opt-in records (timestamp, IP address, the version of the Terms & Conditions accepted, and the mobile number entered) are stored by SkyPie for compliance purposes.
3. Program Description & Message Frequency
The SkyPie SMS program currently sends transactional messages only. Specifically:
- Shared slices: when another SkyPie user shares a slice with you, you receive an SMS containing a link to view and redeem it.
- Account & Security: one-time verification codes and security alerts related to your SkyPie account.
- Order & reservation updates: confirmations, redemption codes, cancellations, and refund notifications triggered by your activity on SkyPie.
Message frequency varies based on your activity. SkyPie does not currently send marketing or promotional SMS. Message and data rates may apply.
4. Opt-Out and Help Instructions
You can cancel SMS at any time. Reply STOP to any message we send and you will no longer receive SMS messages from SkyPie. To re-subscribe, create a new SkyPie account or contact support.

5. Carriers and Disclaimers
SkyPie SMS messages are supported by all major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, U.S. Cellular, MetroPCS, and Cricket. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Contact your wireless provider for details on your text and data plan.
6. Privacy
We will not share your mobile number or opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information collected through this program is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
